IMPORTING USING .XPS to .SRC
This import method replaces the "Print Capture" import method used in years
past.
Use this import method if your System will not create
a usable Excel Spreadsheet, a CSV file, a text file, an IRS style text file.
This
method can be used for extracting your 1099 Data from Quickbooks (desktop),
Sage, Peachtree, SAP, Oracle, and any other Accounting Systems that will print on the
official IRS PAPER forms. It works by printing your paper forms to the
built in Windows XPS printer, instead of your real printer. Then saving the .xps
file. Then open the .xps file into our XPStoSRC program which converts the data
to 1099Express format (for e-Filing, print-mailing, etc.).
This system supports:
- 1099-NEC for 2020
-
1099-Misc for 2020
- 1099-Misc for 2019 and previous years (2018, 2017,
2016......)
Note: If
your System contains current 2020 data, but is NOT UPDATED to print 1099-NEC,
YOU ARE IN LUCK. Just use XPStoSRC create into the old format.
1099 Express can then convert the old 1099-Misc forms to the NEW 1099-NEC forms.
It is easier if file extensions are visible.

Hiding file extensions makes it more difficult.
