The IRS Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) is now the primary pathway for e-Filing 1099 information returns. 1099Express files directly to IRIS on your behalf, meaning you don’t need your own Transmitter Control Code (TCC) to e-File. We handle the submission and provide acceptance confirmation for your records.
This change affects all 1099 series filers. If you were previously using FIRE (Filing Information Returns Electronically), IRIS is now the recommended system for returns filed after January 1, 2024.
