The IRS WILL NOT ACCEPT A BLACK AND WHITE or red "COPY A" PRINTED ON YOUR PRINTER.

There are 3 Ways to file to the IRS.

Internet:

The easiest way to file Copy A to the IRS is to use the INTERNET. Please see Internet Filing to the IRS. Internet filing is free with 1099Express. You can no longer create and mail a diskette to the IRS.  

Paper:

1099 Express also allows filing to the IRS on paper Copy "A". To do so, you MUST OBTAIN AND USE THE SPECIAL RED LINED PRE-PRINTED COPY "A" FORMS, that are specially made for the IRS scanners. See Pre-Printed Forms.
